WHAT WE DO
Throughout the school year, we host a multitude of volunteering and outreach events with an emphasis on the importance of cultural awareness and encourage students to further their Spanish education.
The annual Multicultural Show, which has been a part of Dulles High School's traditions for over 20 years, features student performances representing countries from all over the world. From Latin American dances to traditional Indian songs to more contemporary, hip-hop inspired K-pop performances, we hope to inspire students to recognize the value of global cultures.
World Cultures Club is run in partnership with local elementary schools that feed into Dulles, such as Highlands and Lexington Creek Elementary schools. Members will volunteer on a monthly basis to foster curiosity and acceptance and appreciation of foreign culture.
Through various other activities, we hope to connect students to others to strengthen their writing and communication skills as well as to make new friends! We have a pen pals program with international students in Spain, opportunities to host and participate in workshops, and offer chances to tutor Spanish students at Dulles.
